北京理工大学附中简介

    办学历史悠久 北京理工大学附中建于1950年,学校位于风光秀丽的长河南岸,建校之初曾为北京理工大学预科,后归属地方政府。57年的办学历史使学校积淀了丰厚的文化底蕴,1980年被认定为海淀区重点中学,2003年成为北京市示范高中校。历届中高考成绩优异,在海淀区名列前茅。多年来为社会培养了大批优秀人才。
    设备设施先进 学校占地65亩,现有51个教学班,2300多名学生。建有完备、先进的教育教学设施及现代化信息网络设备,现代化的天文馆、图书馆、阅览室、电子备课室、生、物、化实验室、标本室和计算机教室、专用OM教室、音乐教室、美术教室、自习室,以及学生食堂、校园气象站、电视台、400米塑胶田径运动场、篮球场、排球场、草坪式足球场,为每一个学生的健康成长和全面发展提供了优良的条件。

    教育教学成果显著 “创造优质教育,使学生得到生动、活泼、主动的发展”是我们的办学宗旨和理念,也是全校师生共同追求的发展愿景。以此为指导,我们努力创造适合学生发展的教育;关注学生良好道德品质的形成和全面和谐的发展,形成了以“有理想、懂道理、会学习”为目标的德育系列主题教育;注重教学改革,积极研究高中课程改革方案,形成了学习领域、科目、模块三个层次和必修、选修两个部分组成的课程结构;开设了包括电脑动画程序设计、探究历史文化之迷、音乐创作与欣赏、世界名画欣赏、茶道与文化、探索DNA、摄影、电影赏析、韩语、法语、德语、意大利语等60余门选修课和系列综合实践活动课;在关注学生全面发展的同时,注重培养学生特长,丰富多彩的体育节、科技节、文化艺术节等活动都是学生们展示才能,发挥特长的机会。学校努力为每一个学生生动、活泼、主动地发展搭建广阔的舞台,取得了突出成绩。金帆乐仪团、合唱团、舞蹈队,头脑奥林匹克创新小组、无线电测向小组、天文小组、车模小组、气象小组,体育传统项目棒球、垒球、排球、田径、板球运动队蓬勃发展;棒球队连续两次获全国AAA比赛冠军,板球队荣获“2006年全国板球锦标赛冠军”, 垒球队2006年荣获“北京市秋季女子垒球锦标赛第一名”,“北京市排球传统校高中组第一名、初中组第一名”。“金帆乐仪团”荣获“北京市中学生艺术节一等奖”,2006年代表中国参加在韩国举行的“国际行进乐团锦标赛”荣获一等奖。学科竞赛多次获得全国、北京市学科竞赛奖牌。
    多年来,学校为全国优质名牌大学输送了众多优秀的高中毕业生。著名主持人政协第十四届全国委员扬澜、北京朝阳医院院长王辰就是我校优秀毕业生的代表。2001年秦靓同学以海淀区文科状元考入北京大学,2005年我校勒雅同学以文化课成绩总分全区第一荣获中考状元称号。学校赢得了广泛的社会赞誉。
    教改科研成果突出 学校参与了联合国教科文组织“环境、人口与可持续发展(EPD项目)”课题研究,教育部新课程改革重点课题“参与学习”,北京市“青少年爱水行动”、“关注学生发展的优质教育研究”,“中小学生学习技术的实验与研究”,海淀区“主体探究教学模式”,海淀区“中英学校发展计划”课题、“青少年心理健康教育针对性和实效性研究”等多个课题的实验研究。这些课题的深入开展,为学生的发展创造了丰富的成长环境,促进了教师队伍的提升。学校成为“环境、人口与可持续发展(EPD项目)”示范校,荣获联合国教科文组织“教育促进可持续发展创新奖”, “青春健康技能生活培训”示范校,教育部新课程改革基地校,教育改革试验区——教育现代化试点学校、北京市高中新课程改革实验样本学校。几年来学校不断扩大国内外校际合作与交流,通过与澳大利亚、香港等地区建立姊妹校,教师、学生每年出访澳大利亚、日本、德国、美国等国家,广泛获取教育信息,为学生和学校的发展拓展更广阔的空间,努力向着“北京一流,全国示范”的办学目标迈进。
    我校是北京市高中新课程改革实验样本学校,新生入校后将按《北京市普通高中课程方案(实验)》进行教学。必修课程重在为学生打好基础,选修课程重在为学生提供多样化的选择,必修课程和选修课程内容相辅相成,从而在注重基础的同时,突出课程的层次性、选择性、灵活性。
    新课程实行学分制,学生在完成必修课程的基础上,可依据自己的特长、爱好,根据普通高中的课程结构以及学校课程设置情况,在充分思考个人发展方向的基础上,从各科选修系列中选择适合自己的模块,规划三年学习的内容与进程,从而使学生特长得到充分发展。

     Situated on the green sourth bank of the clear-water Chang River and in the heartland of Beijing Zhongguancun Science Park, the Middle School Affiliated to Beijing Institute of Technology (shortened as BIT Middle School) covers an area of 4.3 hectares and boasts a very good humanistic environment. It ranks among the top middle schools in Haidian District, and among the first demonstration senior high schools in Beijing.
          Founded in 1950, BIT Middle School has already a history of more than fifty years. Over the years we have been committed to building a sound, democratic and harmonious school culture which embodies both spirits of modern humanism and sustainable development. By expanding exchange and cooperation with other schools at home and abroad, and creating a top-quality school as our goal, we make incessant explorations in education and teaching and have gradually developed some characteristics unique to our school. These characteristics include: Revitalizing the school with scientific research, human-based education, education for all, all-around development, fostering abilities and stressing special skills.
          Our school has put forward the idea of "laying foundation for the lifelong development of the students and being responsible for the future of the Chinese nation", emphasizing that human development also should take the path of sustainable development. The students should have a sound and harmonious development both physically and mentally, and their basic practical and creative abilities should be cultivated, thus laying a solid foundation for their lifelong learning and lifelong development. To achieve these ends, our school, based on teaching and research, put forward the idea of revitalizing school with scientific research and revitalizing teaching with scientific research. Our school has participated in many research projects, such as the UNESCO "Environment, Population and Sustainable Development" (EPD) Project, the "participatory learning" project launched by the Ministry of Education as a reform of new curricula, and "the teaching model of subjective probe". The aims of doing so are to make attempts to explore new models of education and new models of classroom teaching and to turn out new types of talents fit with the requirements of the times.
          In the design of curriculum, compulsory courses, optional courses and comprehensive practical courses are combined, offering such courses as production of web pages, designing of animation programs, drilling of mathematical thinking, batteries and environmental protection, production of power-driven motor models, oratory and eloquence, drilling of English listening, experiments in modern physics, geographical research, calligraphy and fine arts, music composing and directing, rhythmic gymnastics, and research-oriented learning. For many years, the rates of our students entering senior high schools or colleges and universities always stand at the top in Haidian District, winning a wide acclaim from the public.
          Our school has beautiful surroundings and state-of-the-art facilities. All the classrooms are equipped with multi-media devices. The school has established a campus network that is linked to the Internet, thus the students can freely collect information on-line. Our school has 25 types of classrooms and a 400-m standardized sports-ground, and a library with a storage over 50,000 books..
          A quality faculty is the guarantee for BIT Middle School to be able to push ahead quality-oriented education and improve the teaching quality. The school attaches great importance to fostering teachers. Many professors and special-grade teachers are invited to form a guiding team, instructing young teachers and offering postgraduate programs. In this and other ways, excellent teachers are cultivated and entrusted with greater responsibility. At present, our school claims 40 classes, with 1886 students and195 teaching and administrative staff members. 43% of the teachers are senior and special-grade teachers, 21 are mainstay teachers and leaders in their respective fields, and 40% of teachers have completed courses in postgraduate programs. All the rest of young and middle-aged teachers under age 45 are participating in the postgraduate education program offered jointly with Beijing Normal University.
          In addition to the improvement of the teaching quality, our school also pays much attention to aesthetic education and physical education, which leads to a flowering of student societies. The Gold Sail Band of our school has performed at several concerts, making a visit to Hong Kong, participating in the theatrical performance at the opening ceremony and closing ceremony of the 21st Universiade. The School Chorus made sensational successes repeatedly by participating in the performing contests at the city level and district level. With a good sports tradition, our school has remained for many years at a leading level in Beijing, in such sports as baseball, softball and volleyball. In gymnastics, track and field events, table tennis and basketball, our school is also becoming stronger rapidly.
          In order to improve the quality of junior middle school education and contribute better students to the senior middle school, our school started a unitary educational system with the Branch BIT Middle School in 2001, taking complementary advantages on both sides. With a unitary administration, faculty and teaching facilities, we also recruit excellent teachers nationwide, making up a teaching staff with young and middle-aged teachers as mainstays. These teachers have fresh knowledge and rich teaching experience, and 85% of them have senior or intermediary professional titles.
          Through many years of education and teaching, our school has made tremendous progress. In 2001, our school was approved to be an experimental school of the UNESCO EPD Project, and in 2002, it was chosen by State Family Planning Commission as a demonstration school of the "Health for Adolescents" project,Capital Youths in Water Action Project School selected by the World Wide Fond For Nature(WWF),Experimental School of Arts Education in Beijing, School with Good Sports Tradition in Beijing, Pilot School for Education Modernization in the education reform experimental zone in Haidian District and Green School in Haidian District . Besides, our school has been awarded many honors, such as Model Unit of Family Education in Beijing, Model Unit of Law Education in Beijing, Model Unit of Spiritual Civilization in Haidian District, Model School of Advanced Science and Technology in Haidian District,.
          Envisaging the future of our school, we will accelerate the pace of building a demonstration school, continue to improve the school environment and construct the center for student activities, classroom buildings and other facilities.
